Berezovsky district: two people died
On December 30, at about three o’clock in the morning, a 27-year-old Seat driver was moving along the P-2 highway “Kobrin-Ivatsevichi-Stolbtsy”. Near the village of Svetoch, according to preliminary information, she hit a 25-year-old Renault truck driver who was on the roadway near the truck. The car then collided with a semi-trailer.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the truck and a 30-year-old passenger of the Seat were killed. It was established that the woman was driving the car while intoxicated (1.7 ppm). The investigation will provide a legal assessment.
Baranovichi district: passenger injured
On December 30, at about 00.15 hours, a 33-year-old driver, while intoxicated (1.97 ppm), and also without a driving license, was driving a Mazda car and driving along the M1/E30 highway “Brest – Minsk – border of the Russian Federation” . At the 183rd kilometer of the specified highway, according to preliminary information, he lost control, drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with a SEAT car driven by a 43-year-old driver.
As a result of the accident, a 43-year-old passenger in the Mazda car was hospitalized. An inspection is underway.
Kobrin district: a pedestrian died
On December 30, at about 6:10 p.m., a 41-year-old resident of Brest was driving a Honda car and driving along the M1/E30 highway “Brest – Minsk – border of the Russian Federation.” At the 71st kilometer of the specified highway, he hit a 28-year-old female pedestrian who, according to preliminary information, was moving along the roadway, after which she was hit by a Kia car driven by a 43-year-old Brest resident.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died at the scene from his injuries. The investigation will provide a legal assessment.
Kobrin district: one person died, one was injured
On January 2, at about 1:30 p.m., a 62-year-old Brest resident, driving a Toyota car, at 206 km of the R-2 highway Stolbtsy – Kobrin, according to preliminary information, lost control, allowed the car to skid, resulting in a collision with by a Volkswagen driven by a 37-year-old driver who was moving in the opposite direction.
