Burkina: A column of terrorists neutralized in time in Nassoumbou
Ouagadougou, Jan. 4, 2024 (AIB) – Aerial vectors, including attack helicopters, decimated Thursday, a column of terrorists who were planning a large-scale attack in Nassoumbou (Djibo, North), according to corroborating sources contacted by the AIB.
On January 4, 2024, a column of terrorists coming from the Malian border swept into the Nassoumbou area, with a view to a large-scale attack. Thanks to intelligence, they were discovered in time, just outside the town.
However, sensing danger, the criminals turned back. We saw more than a hundred pairs on motorbikes heading towards the border and towards Boulekessi in Malian territory.
The air vectors then come into action and start hitting them with precision. While some burn with their motorcycles, others disperse in a small forest nearby.
The attack helicopters take over and go after them. Several of these criminals were neutralized, and the fugitives managed to enter Malian territory, where the Allied Forces were certainly waiting for them.
In all cases, our sources assure that operations continue and that no respite would be granted to those who refuse to lay down their arms.
