MISCELLANEOUS FACTS – She was long awaited. The list of 180 names linked to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was finally revealed on Wednesday January 3, 2024 by a judge in Manhattan federal court. Several famous names, including two former presidents of the United States, appear in the 1,000-page document, which lists the contacts, acquaintances, relatives, victims or alleged accomplices of the American financier, “suicide” in prison in 2019. This revelation makes following a December 18 order from the same judge, who ordered the disclosure of these names as part of a lawsuit filed by a victim of the Epstein couple against Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former companion and accomplice.
This defamation complaint was filed in 2015 following public statements by Ghislaine Maxwell denying Victoria Giuffre’s allegations concerning the sexual exploitation of which the latter was a victim.
The complaint was settled in 2017. Nevertheless, an American newspaper, the Miami Herald, turned to civil justice to request access to the file. In response, the Manhattan judge ordered the disclosure of the 180 names of those involved, noting that some of them had given interviews to the press and had become recognizable. Among these names are also Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplices, investigators and journalists who covered the affair.
“Bill Clinton liked them young”…
The 180 people concerned, who were until then cited by numbers or by the pseudonym “Doe”, had, from December 18, 14 days to appeal and avoid the disclosure of their identities. However, some names remained protected. These are minor victims who have never spoken publicly. According to Fox News, one of the names on the list immediately requested that his identity be withheld, fearing “physical harm.”
Who is on the list? Two former American presidents, already. If Donald Trump (2017-2021), who would have ended his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in 2007, of whom he “was not a fan”, is mentioned few times as an acquaintance of the sex trafficker, Bill Clinton (1993-2001 ) is cited dozens of times. A report from a hearing linked to Giuffre’s trial against Ghislaine Maxwell describes him as a close friend of the fallen financier.
It is Johanna Sjoberg, another accuser of Jeffrey Epstein, interviewed as part of the defamation trial against Maxwell, who discusses Bill Clinton at length. Asked whether she knew of any friendship between the former president and the sex trafficker, she said the two “had relationships” (P207). However, she reveals that Jeffrey Epstein spoke to her about Bill Clinton “once”saying that the former president “loved them young, in reference to girls”.
The document declassified by the Manhattan judge recalls that Victoria Giuffre already mentioned Bill Clinton’s relationship with the Epstein couple in 2011. Moreover, Ghislaine Maxwell’s denial on this subject is one of the reasons why the complaint for defamation was filed in 2015.
There was also talk of the former American head of state testifying in this affair. The plaintiff, who admits to having “made no allegations of illegal actions on the part of Bill Clinton,” claims to have spent time with him on the island of Little St. James, in the Virgin Islands. A statement which contradicts that of Ghislaine Maxwell, according to whom Bill Clinton never stayed on the island. According to her, he just traveled and dined aboard the “Lolita Express”.
Prince Andrew (again) overwhelmed
The other personality mentioned is none other than the British Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Victoria Giuffre accused the prince in 2021 of having sexually assaulted her in 2001, when she was 17 years old. Andrew, who fell from grace, has always denied these accusations and in February 2022 sealed an amicable agreement with Giuffre for millions of dollars, which spared him a civil trial in New York.
Johanna Sjoberg’s statement confirms the prince’s repeated presence on Epstein’s island as well as on board the “Lolita Express”, contrary to what Ghislaine Maxwell claims, who says she only remembers one visit, during which “there were no girls on the island”.
Other, unexpected names appear in the list. These include, for example, Michael Jackson, who is said to have visited Epstein’s home in Palm Beach, or the magician David Copperfield, who was invited to New York dinners. Names like Ehud Barak, former Israeli Prime Minister, Cameron Diaz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Gore, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, were cited by lawyers, who wanted to know if they were seen by Johanna Sjoberg. His answer is negative.
This is not the case for Jean-Luc Brunel. This former French modeling agent and close friend of Jeffrey Epstein, and cited more than fifty times, was also found dead in his cell after having been incarcerated since the end of 2020 in Paris for several rapes of minors.
Fox News claimed in mid-December that Republican representatives in Congress are pushing to subpoena the people named, this time, in the flight logs of the private plane “Lolita Express”. One such name is Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Bill Gates.
Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein met in the 1990s before becoming collaborators and accomplices in sex crimes for nearly 30 years. Epstein, arrested and incarcerated in July 2019 in New York, was found hanged on August 10 of the same year in his cell. He faced a sentence of up to 45 years in prison. He committed suicide by hanging, according to a New York medical examiner’s autopsy report.
His partner, daughter of the wealthy British press boss Robert Maxwell, was sentenced in June 2022 to 20 years in prison. She was convicted of helping Jeffrey Epstein lure underage girls to his properties in order to have sex with them. In January 2023, she said she was convinced that her former companion “was murdered”.
An expert commissioned by Jeffrey Epstein’s brother disputes the suicide theory, suggesting that the man accused of sexual assault was actually killed in prison.
