Spurs defeated Burnley by the narrowest of margins (1-0) on Friday in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

Tottenham, 5th in the Premier League, struggled to get rid of the penultimate Burnley (1-0), snatching their qualification at the end of the match, Friday during the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

The large possession of the London club, titled eight times in the FA Cup, remained barren for a long time. The main chance of the first half came from Burnley but Swiss striker Zeki Amdouni mishandled a one-on-one with Spurs’ Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and fired over the target.

At the restart, the London attackers pushed but came up against the block well set up by the Clarets. Until Spanish defender Pedro Porro recovered the ball following a risky throw from the opposing goalkeeper and fired a long shot into the side net (78th).

Burnley failed to find the net despite a final opportunity and a miss from Amdouni at the very end of the match (90th + 8).

Brentford accroche Wolverhampton

In another meeting between Premier League residents, Brentford and Wolverhampton failed to decide between themselves (1-1) and will have to replay a match.

Brentford Frenchman Neal Maupay gave the Bees the lead just before the break (41st). The Wolves, although reduced to ten since the 9th after the logical expulsion for an ugly gesture by Joao Gomes, managed to come back to the score thanks to Tommy Doyle (64th).

Finally, Fulham, 13th in the Premier League, dominated second division club Rotherham United (1-0) thanks to a goal from Bobby Reid (24th).

Thursday, Everton went to hang on Crystal Palace (0-0).
