Tricolor renews with Muricy, Rui Costa, Zetti, Milton Cruz, Biasotto and Altair Ramos

São Paulo agreed to contract renewals for six important football professionals – professional and grassroots – for the 2024/2026 three-year period: Muricy Ramalho, Rui Costa, Zetti, Milton Cruz, Marcos Biasotto and Altair Ramos will remain at Tricolor until December 31, 2026.

“In São Paulo’s football professionalization line, we renewed the contracts of Muricy Ramalho, Rui Costa, Zetti, Milton Cruz, Marcos Biasotto and Altair Ramos. This is our purpose, to continue the work of repositioning São Paulo on and off the field. With the integration of professional football with the grassroots, we guarantee this backbone, led by Carlos Belmonte and all of us actively participating. We continue like this, with professionalism, focusing on the value of the São Paulo brand. And, mainly, in the quality of the content on and off the field”, stated President Julio Casares.

Multi-champion for Tricolor as an athlete and coach, Muricy Ramalho returned in 2021 to start a new chapter of his successful career in São Paulo: this time, as football coordinator. Just like the São Paulo idol, assistant Milton Cruz also returned to CT da Barra Funda in 2021. Football executive Rui Costa was hired in the same season and will now begin his fourth year at the club.

During this period, Tricolor was champion of the 2021 Campeonato Paulista and the 2023 Copa do Brasil, in addition to having played in the finals of the State and CONMEBOL Sul-Americana of 2022. In 2024, the team will have the chance to win the Super Cup of Brasil, which will be played against Palmeiras, and will also have CONMEBOL Libertadores on the calendar, in addition to Paulista, Copa do Brasil and Brasileiro.

Marcos Biasotto is the executive director of São Paulo’s youth football team and works at CFA Laudo Natel alongside his idol Zetti, who is coordinator of Cotia’s goalkeepers and leads the training of young archers, and Altair Ramos, responsible for coordinating the performance area of ​​the club’s youth categories.
