Personnel from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Complex Crimes seized 195 “cloned” credit cards, $2,000, firearms and objects valued at $10,000,000, in a series of raids carried out in the Capital for a robbery case.

Commissioner Marcos Morante, of the Robbery and Theft Division, said: “this Friday, as ordered by the Fair Robbery and Theft Prosecutor’s Office, 14 raids were carried out simultaneously, in the investigation of a robbery that occurred on the 4th. December in El Manantial, where a beverage distributor operates.”

“The criminals, after making a hole in the wall, entered a business, where they stole dollars and Argentine pesos,” he said.

Due to what happened, officers carried out an investigation, managing to identify some of the perpetrators of the crime. With the data obtained, they requested judicial measures. In the raids, the police team seized televisions, firearms, appliances, clothing, sneakers, bicycles, kitchens and other objects, valued at approximately $10,000,000.

“In addition, we apprehended a man, who would be the leader of the gang called Clan Carabajal, and a woman, who had an arrest warrant from the Catamarca Justice Department for fraud, since she was dedicated to the cloning of cards. Also, we seized 195 plastics, 5 posnets and 2,000 dollars,” the commissioner reported.

What happened was reported to the Robbery and Theft Prosecutor’s Unit, with the aim of requesting new search measures and being able to continue with the investigation.
