Congress Tightens Grip on Lok Sabha Elections

As the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, Congress has announced the formation of election committees in nine states, signaling the party’s preparation for the upcoming polls. The committees were formed in Rajasthan, Kerala, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, and Madhya Pradesh, with the announcement coming on Saturday evening.

The 33-member Kerala Election Committee will be chaired by KPCC president K Sudhakaran, while Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will preside over the state’s committee. In addition, the Congress leadership also announced the formation of a seven-member publicity committee, which includes Ajay Maken and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal.

Furthermore, the Congress has declared the establishment of an organizational war room, with Shashikant Senthil leading the war room as the chairperson. This move comes after the appointment of several committees related to the Lok Sabha elections, including the National Alliance Committee and the Manifesto Committee last month, and the appointment of five screening committees on Friday to recommend candidates.

With these developments, Congress is demonstrating its readiness and determination to contest the Lok Sabha elections, indicating a tightening grip on its campaign strategy and organization. As the political landscape continues to evolve ahead of the elections, the formation of these committees could prove to be a crucial factor in shaping the party’s approach and prospects in the upcoming polls.
