Xiaomi Launches New E-Reader Device in China
Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new e-reader device in its local market in China. The device, based on an E Ink Carta 1200 display with a pixel density of 300 ppi, is designed to ensure high-quality playback for users.
With a screen resolution of 1680 x 1240 and a seven-inch diagonal panel, the e-reader also offers adjustable backlight intensity in 32 levels and the ability to adapt color temperature to personal preferences.
Weighing just 166 grams, the device is equipped with a sensor for alignment detection and offers navigation through both touchscreen and dedicated buttons.
Technical specifications include the Android 11 system, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage space. The e-reader can connect to wireless networks in the 2.4 and 5GHz bands and also has Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
The device’s 1,200mAh battery reportedly lasts up to 40 hours on a single charge, with an additional 1,950mAh battery provided by the magnetic housing.
The new e-reader is available in China for $200, with no information yet on a global launch. Source
