He was invited to an annual evaluation interview Zoltán Herczeg a Breakfastin. The fashion designer, who is considering leaving the career, said here: 2023 started very slowly for him, the year started to speed up from April (Herczeg was then released from prison, where he was imprisoned on suspicion of drug trafficking), and from August it became too fast (that’s when his house arrest ended, from then on without, he could move freely).

I didn’t miss my accelerated life, I can tell you honestly. There are few things to love about what I experienced, but the fact that time slows down, life slows down, and you can think about yourself, is something that is really missing out here. Although I vowed to keep that pace, it’s impossible. On the one hand, I feel bad that I didn’t succeed, and on the other hand, I’m ashamed that I couldn’t keep this promise

– said Zoltán Herczeg in the program, and then continued:

Not only do you fall back into the squirrel wheel from which you fell, but you want to make up for what you missed. This is a natural human reaction, and we may not always be able to stop our instincts. Instinct says “you suffered a loss, then do it again now, grow, develop, prosper”. We usually mean this in terms of money, and I can record a significant loss in terms of money, so I have an instinct to do it even better, even faster. This is how I go against the vow I made.

As he said, in his opinion, this way of life “will lead to destruction” of humanity. He thinks a lot about whether he lives in such a way that it is useful, and he always realizes that he is not, in fact. According to him, this can be changed if people restrict their own needs and reduce their consumption. He wants to deal with sustainability in the future, and he recently talked about his plans in more detail.
