For 6 days, a fire of unknown origin has been talked about in Dounkire Taaakore in the Diaga district of the sub-prefectural jurisdiction of Timbi Tounni.
El hadj Mamadou Diouldé Bah, president of the Diaga district, regrets that all the houses in the village have been subjected to the law of fire, i.e. 25 huts and one permanent house.
To date, the fire seems contained and is not spreading towards the neighborhood but the small town has lost everything to the point where its inhabitants spend the night under the stars during this period when the weather is particularly harsh with temperatures that are close to 10 degrees at times in the mornings or nights.
These fires of unknown origin are familiar to many people in the prefecture of Pita since in the 90s, a locality in the sub-prefecture of Ninguelandé, a little less than 5 years ago the sub-prefecture of Maci was affected by other fires in Tangan and more recently the Kirin Ndimou sector in the Pellal Maoundé district was completely razed, requiring a strong solidarity effort to rebuild.
