Waxahatchee Announces New Album, Shares Lead Single

Katie Crutchfield, the mastermind behind Waxahatchee, has just announced the release of her new album, Tigers Blood, set to release on March 22 via ANTI- Records. This album will serve as a follow-up to her remarkable 2020 release, Saint Cloud. After three full-length albums with Merge, Crutchfield has moved to a new label for this release.

Recorded with Brad Cook at Sonic Ranch in Texas, Tigers Blood will feature contributions from MJ Lenderman, Spencer Tweedy, and Phil Cook. Today, Crutchfield has shared the lead single “Right Back To It,” a duet with Lenderman. In a statement, she shared that she wrote the song backstage while on tour, aiming to create a love song that is gritty and unromantic, focusing on the ebb and flow of a long-term love story.

In addition to the lead single, a video for “Right Back To It” has been released, alongside the album’s tracklist and tour dates. The album, Tigers Blood, will consist of 12 tracks and is now available for pre-order.

Waxahatchee has also announced a series of tour dates, kicking off on April 18th in Kansas City, MO and spanning across the United States until early September. The tour will include stops in major cities such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and more.

Fans can pre-order Tigers Blood ahead of its March release date. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see Waxahatchee live when she hits the road later this year.
