The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine shows no signs of abating, as violence continues to erupt in the region. Speaking at the Global Muslim Scholars Conference in Doha, Hamas leader Ismail Haniya emphasized the crucial role of Islamic world support in the resistance for Al-Aqsa.

Haniya stated, “None of their goals have been achieved. In the figures that are being released now, the destruction of the occupying forces is double. Foreign countries are supporting the invading forces with absolutely no air bridges and weapons and warships. However, the defense forces that are resisting for Al Aqsa and the Palestinian land also need the support of the world community.” Despite the casualties in the war that has been ongoing for over three months, he expressed confidence that Palestinian resistance will ultimately be successful.

The tensions in the region further escalated with a drone attack on an Israeli military base by Hezbollah, in retaliation for the killings of Hamas leader Salih al-Aruri and Hezbollah commander Wissam al-Taweel. The attack and counter-attacks between Israel and Hezbollah have sparked fears of a wider conflict in the area.

Meanwhile, Israel has intensified its ground offensive in Gaza, resulting in a significant number of casualties. The total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza has reached 23,210, with 59,167 people injured. Israeli forces also reported killing several Hamas fighters and finding weapons and underground bunkers. In retaliation, the Al Qassam Brigades killed nine more Israeli soldiers and shot dead three youths in Tulkarem in the West Bank.

The UN Human Rights Office has called for an independent and fair investigation into the killing of two Al Jazeera reporters in Gaza. Additionally, relatives of Israeli hostages protested at the Karim Shalom border, demanding that aid to Gaza be stopped.

As the conflict rages on, diplomatic efforts are also underway. A high-level Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo to discuss the release of hostages, while U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Israel for talks with President Isaac Herzog.

The situation remains tense in the region, with no clear resolution in sight. The international community continues to monitor the escalating conflict with growing concern.
