São Paulo was beaten by Ferroviária 2-1 this Tuesday (9), at the Fonte Luminosa stadium, in Araraquara, in the last round of the group stage of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. Ryan Francisco scored the team’s goal. With the result, Tricolor qualified for the knockout stage in second place in group 7.
The first half started better for the opponent who, with headed goals in the 6th and 10th minutes, opened up an advantage on the scoreboard. On the other hand, São Paulo created great chances in the initial stage.
At 15, the ball fell to Ferreira who hit it hard to block the defense. Paulinho cleared the defense and finished close to the post in the 38th minute. Guilherme Batista forced the opposing goalkeeper to work on a long shot and a dangerous header in stoppage time.
