The movies I do crazy things for you Gabriela Queiroze Much Remainsunder the direction of Jessica Alves Vassaitisboth students at AIC’s Filmworks, were selected for the Exhibition Formation of 27th edition of the Tiradentes Film Festivalwhich takes place between January 20th and 28th.

The bitter-sweet comedy I do crazy things for you follows a telecourier of love on her solitary wanderings around the city. Through unexpected encounters, the central character searches for love in lost hearts on urban street corners. The work was honored at the Filmworks Film Festival, highlighting the excellent performance of Mauriceia Rochastudent of the Acting Technician course for Cinema and TV.

The film Much Remains is an intimate fiction, which delves into the life of a lonely woman who lives in an old house, exploring deep and universal themes. The production stands out for the sensitivity of its approach.

In addition to the works produced by students, the film MBORAIRAPÉ, directed by AIC screenwriting professor Roney Freitas is also at the Show. The film is a collaboration with the indigenous Rap group Oz Guarani and features Guarani Mbyá artists from the Itakupé and Pyau villages, located in Jaraguá (SP). A hybrid between documentary and fiction, the story puts indigenous people from the urban village of Jaraguá on screen, not just singing rap in Portuguese and Guarani, but learning and reflecting on how and why to do it. It is from there that the journey of the protagonist Pico do Jaraguá above takes place: driven by messages from different and fabulous relatives, he walks to find his path as a rap lyricist, attentive to the sound that comes from the center of the Earth.

The Training Exhibition aims to highlight productions carried out in study environments, whether in universities, free film schools or specific training processes, providing a diverse panorama of academic cinema. The ten productions selected for this year range from formal exercises that rescue images of foreign filmmakers renowned in Brazil to sociological documentaries that explore Brazilian cultural traditions.
