Bavarian firefighters decided to take pictures for an erotic calendar. Volunteers from a place called Walchsing first time we stripped down for something like this.
Let us explain right away why we are talking about volunteer firefighters. The fact is that in Germany there are professional fire departments only in large cities. In settlements where no more than 100 thousand people live, volunteer firefighters are engaged in extinguishing fires and rescuing people. There are many more of them than professionals. In Walchsing there are 230 people in the voluntary fire service. This fire station was established in 1871.
Why do you need an erotic calendar?
The idea to undress for an erotic calendar arose quite spontaneously – one evening before Christmas. Immediately 13 men volunteered – only this time not to put out the fire, but to take part in a candid photo shoot. To implement the idea, they found two local amateur photographers. No more than two weeks passed from the moment the idea was conceived until the calendar was printed. The cost of the calendar for 2024 is 30 euros. The firefighters are going to spend the proceeds on new gear, equipment and a barbecue evening.

As Armin Bauer, a volunteer firefighter, told DW, the demand for the calendar is very high. “Actually, just for fun, we were going to make a calendar that would be different from the usual ones. And we thought of distributing it among our team members and in the region. As soon as the calendar came out, 50 copies were immediately sold,” said the firefighter. And after the article in the regional media, orders began pouring in. And the most widely circulated tabloid publication in Germany, the Bild newspaper, was published on firefighters, where on Wednesday, January 10, an article about the calendar was published.
What was the reaction in the region? “100 percent positive,” says Armin Bauer. “First of all, because we show that our people are in good physical shape, and therefore can save lives in serious situations. At the same time, we want to motivate young people to join the fire department service.” The fire department now has its own Instagram channel where you can see how the filming went. The calendar is in greatest demand among the female population of the region.
It must be said that every year in Germany students, peasant women, and others undress for calendars. Sales proceeds usually go to charity.
