The Under-19 World Cup series is in full swing in the West Indies. The quake was felt during a match between the teams of Ireland and Zimbabwe in Port of Spain in Trinidad.
The Irish Under-19 team won the match by 8 wickets yesterday (January 29). The buildings where the fans and commentators were seated shook for a few minutes while the match was going on. So there was a stir.
But as the Irish and Zimbabwean team players were busy in the game, they continued to play cricket without feeling the earthquake. So that game was not affected in any way.
The quake, which measured 5.2 on the Richter scale in Port of Spain yesterday, was also felt at the cricket stadium. This photo is going viral on social media.
