Interfaith Couple Attacked in Karnataka Hotel Room – A Gang Circulates Video of Assault

In a shocking incident in Hangal taluk of Haveri district, Karnataka, an interfaith married couple was attacked by a gang of six people in their hotel room. The assailants recorded the incident and circulated the video. The video shows the assailants waiting outside the lodge room before entering and brutally beating the woman, who was wearing a burqa, and dragging her from the ground. Another video shows the woman, now wearing a hijab, trying to cover her face as she leaves the room. The couple filed a complaint and two people have been arrested, with the police continuing to search for the others. A case has been registered against the accused on charges of violence against women and attempted murder.
