Donations in kind for Ukraine are being collected in Hilchenbach today. Another relief transport starts on Sunday.

The war in Ukraine has been raging for two years and the attacks continue unabated. Recently, for example, the second largest city of Kharkiv came under massive fire again. In order to help people, the Evangelical Free Church “Christ for All” based in Wiehl, among others, regularly travels with relief supplies to the Ukraine. She is supported by the city of Hilchenbach, among others. The next transport is scheduled to start next Sunday and donations are still needed for this. This afternoon between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. they can be dropped off in the community rooms of the St. Vitus Church at Herrenwiese 3 and in the Protestant Church Dahlbruch, Hochstraße 27.
Items needed include baby food, canned goods, cooking oil, sugar, flour, instant soups, rice, pasta, long-life milk and tea. Hygiene products, medication, candles, batteries, crutches, wheelchairs and walkers are also needed.
