Title: Woman badly bitten by loose dogs – owner suspected of causing bodily harm

A 65-year-old woman has been badly bitten by three loose dogs, resulting in the police firing warning shots to control the aggressive animals. The incident occurred while the woman was out resting her own dog in a wooded area outside Borås at lunchtime. The victim sustained bites to her face and hand and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Thankfully, her injuries are not life-threatening, but they are described as quite severe.

The woman’s dog was also attacked and is now under the care of a veterinarian. Meanwhile, the police had to deal with the three loose dogs rushing towards them, prompting them to fire a warning shot in the air to deter the animals. The owner of the dogs, a 45-year-old man, is now suspected of causing bodily harm or otherwise violating the law on the supervision of dogs and cats. The man was not present at the scene when the attack occurred.

The three dogs have since been returned to their owner, but concerns about their aggressive behavior have led to a report being filed with the county administrative board. Authorities are considering whether there is a need to take further action, such as taking the dogs into care.

Jens Andersson, police press spokesperson, stated, “In order for us to take care of them, as I understand it, it is based on the fact that the dogs are very aggressive. As soon as a dog is calm and with its owner, we cannot take care of it.” He also added, “On the other hand, we have written a report to the county administrative board, which is responsible for the supervision act, so that they can carry out an inspection and investigate whether there is a need for the dogs to be taken care of or another measure.”

The investigation into this disturbing incident is ongoing as both the victim and the dogs’ owner seek justice.
