A large gathering event on January 9 and 10 which left no one indifferent throughout the world. The President of the Republic, Patrice Talon, was not told about the event. He went to the city on Tuesday evening where the mega Afro pop concert was being held. Well before the start of this giant concert, Patrice Talon followed the parade of egun-gun who approached to give him blessings. From start to finish until early morning, the Head of State attended the performances of the artists who performed on stage. From the melodious voice of Teriba and Pépé Oléka, to the musical instrument of Jah Baba passing through the orchestra of the Tabou Combo group to the performances of Teni, Yèmi Aladé and Koffi Olomidé etc., the audience was deeply amazed. On the eyes were pride and satisfaction recalling the heritage and the richness of the unity found around Vodun, a cultural identity shared by the Beninese. Patrice Talon in the middle of the crowd, cap on his head and smile on his lips, did not hesitate to perform dance steps on several occasions. Proudly happy, Patrice Talon took pleasure in giving a friendly hug to his loved ones who rushed to come and greet him.
