Silaw:
Six members of the same family have been shot dead in a building in the rural municipality of Silaw in Mexico’s state of Guanajuato. Four of them are men and two are women.
Upon learning of this, the police went to the scene and conducted an investigation. Evidence of perpetrators of this heinous act has been seized from the area. This is the fifth such attack on a rural municipality in the last four months, according to the local prosecutor’s office.
A dispute between two drug trafficking groups in Mexico’s central state of Guanajuato has turned violent. It is suspected that members of these groups may have been involved in the crime.
Mexico’s military has been involved in anti – drug operations in the country since 2006. According to unofficial reports, more than 3,40,000 murders have been reported in Mexico.
