Ohio State Junior Wide Receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Declares for 2024 NFL Draft

On Thursday, Ohio State junior wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. announced that he will be declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison Sr., Harrison is currently ranked No. 2 overall on Mel Kiper Jr.’s Big Board.

In a social media post, Harrison expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to play at The Ohio State University, thanking everyone within and outside the football program. The talented receiver also reflected on his time at the university, highlighting the support and memories he has received from Buckeye Nation.

Harrison’s decision comes after a standout junior season in which he became the first receiver in Ohio State program history to record consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. In 12 games, he caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, solidifying his status as a top prospect for the upcoming NFL draft.

Despite sitting out the Buckeyes’ 14-3 loss to Missouri in the 2023 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, Harrison’s impact on the field has been evident throughout his collegiate career. He previously won the Biletnikoff Award and had a breakout sophomore campaign, finishing with 77 receptions for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022.

Harrison’s journey at Ohio State also included a memorable performance in the 2022 Rose Bowl Game, where he caught three touchdown passes in a victory over Utah. While he had initially considered a possible return to Columbus, the projected top-five selection is now prepared to take the next step in his career.

The talented receiver’s decision to enter the NFL draft marks the beginning of a new chapter in his football journey. As he looks ahead to the future, Harrison expressed his appreciation for the love and support he received from Buckeye Nation, emphasizing that he will always be a Buckeye for life.
