The local organization of the Hungarian Socialist Party looks forward to the year 2024 with high hopes. They trust in successful municipal and EU elections and hope for the realization of the opposition coalition.
Member of Parliament Sándor Szabó, chairman of the Csongrád-Csanád county of the MSZP, and local government representative József Kozma, chairman of the MSZP in Szeged, presented the goals set for 2024 and their expectations.
We are looking forward to an exciting year, there will be EU and municipal elections. The MSZP supports the joint list after listening to people’s opinions. The opposition can only be successful if there is cooperation between the parties
explained Sándor Szabó. As he said, that is why they consider the competition of the opposition parties to be a harmful process, which makes the alliance uncertain at the moment. The representative is optimistic about the municipal elections: they are working with roughly the same team that was successful before.
According to József Kozma, one should focus on results, not on desires. Szeged is a big, strong, cohesive city, so you can plan an independent future for it. The social and economic development is promising, and it is expected to continue.
We want Szeged to remain a dominant school town and a developing scientific and food economy center. This is joined as a new program by automobile production, which also enables the city to continue operating in a sustainable manner
