IDF Spokesman Lt. Col. Daniel Hagari gave an interview last night (Friday) to the Arab “Al-Hura” channel, broadcast from the United States, and said that the residents of the northern Gaza Strip will be allowed to return to their homes “after there are suitable conditions for this.” According to Hagari, Israel continues dismantle the capabilities of Hamas and eliminated up to 9,000 terrorists and damaged the military capabilities of the terrorist organization, and that there is no intention to force the Gazans to move to other countries.

He also referred to the fighting in the north against the Hezbollah organization and said that “on October 8, Nasrallah chose to join the war in support of Hamas, but in the name of Iran. Those who pay the price are the residents of southern Lebanon.”

In the daily statement delivered by Hagari last Saturday, he announced that the IDF had completed the dismantling of Hamas’ military framework in the northern Gaza Strip. The IDF spokesman also detailed that during the fighting Hamas made use of civilian infrastructure and an uninvolved population, and announced that the dismantling of the terrorist organization consists of five objectives: elimination commanders, clearing the area of ​​terrorists, gathering intelligence in the field, locating and destroying rockets and destroying the underground capacity of the terrorist organization. Later, Hagari emphasized that the fighting will continue during the year 2024. According to him, “We are working to achieve the goals of the war – dismantling Hamas and continuing efforts to return all the abductees. At the same time, we are building defense spaces to return the residents home safely.”
