Surprise and good news! Suzuki officially presents the 5-door version of the Jimny (the small and beloved one should be noted). The vehicle, which many hope will arrive in Israel, appeared in Tokyo under the name “Jimny Sierra”. However, according to the reports in Japan, the vehicle was not presented at Suzuki’s official booth, but at the booth of a parallel importer to Japan. An interesting event in itself.

Following reports coming precisely from the direction of Toyota, which owns about 5% of Suzuki’s shares, part of the production of Toyota and Suzuki in India will be exported for the first time to the mother country – namely Japan. This report “closes a circle” well as to the source of production of the 5-door Jimny that will arrive in Japan precisely from India after leaving the huge Suzuki-Maruti factories in the subcontinent. In fact, Suzuki is so big in India that it has almost half of the world’s third largest market share. Moreover, India is the fourth largest automobile producer with about 5.5 million vehicles produced in 2022 (IOICA data).
Regarding the 5-door Suzuki Jimny, the data are quite useful: wheelbase of 259 cm, overall length of 398 cm, width of 164.5 cm and height of 172 cm. It comes out 43.5 cm longer than the Suzuki Jimny we know here.
