Court sent all the accused to judicial custody till January 27

New Delhi: Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Saturday evening sent six accused in the Parliament security violation case to judicial custody till January 27.
Delhi Police produced accused Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat and Neelam Azad in the court after their custodial remand ended.
Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Hardeep Kaur sent all the accused persons to judicial custody till January 27, 2024.
Delhi Police had filed an application seeking judicial custody of all the accused persons till the completion of the investigation.
During the hearing, accused Neelam Azad told the court that yesterday a female officer forcibly made her sign 52 blank papers.
His lawyer Suresh Chaudhary also said that this had happened earlier also.
The court asked the lawyer to file an appropriate application. Neelam Azad’s lawyer filed an application.

Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Akhand Pratap Singh took exception to the allegations and arguments of the accused.
The court recorded the arguments of the lawyers.
On January 5, five out of six accused agreed to a polygraph test. Accused Neelam Azad refused polygraph test. Apart from this, accused Manoranjan and Sagar also gave their consent for narco analysis and brain mapping test.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Akhanda Pratap had submitted that polygraph of all six accused was required and besides narco and brain mapping of Manoranjan and Sagar were required.
Legal Aid Council (LAC) Amit Shukla had asked the reason for narco and brain mapping of two accused Manoranjan and Sagar.
SPP said that this advice was given by the expert and we are bound by it.
All the accused have been arrested in the Parliament security violation case. They are in police custody. This case is related to the security breach in Parliament on 13 December. (ANI)
