Hamas Planned Terror Attacks Against Jewish and Israeli Targets Abroad – Netanyahu Reveals Netanyahu discloses Hamas plan to attack Jewish and Israeli targets overseas

by time news

According to Israel’s intelligence services Mossad and Shabak, the terrorist group Hamas has planned several attacks against Jewish and Israeli targets abroad, including against the country’s embassy in Stockholm.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu writes on X that the information comes from “continued intelligence work” after the arrests made by Danish and German authorities in mid-December.

Netanyahu states that “joint forces in Israel and abroad” have succeeded in obtaining a comprehensive picture of Hamas’ “targets of attacks and those involved in the execution of operations from Hamas commanders in Lebanon to the most extreme attackers in the operational infrastructure, as well as information on the intent to attack the Israeli embassy in Sweden.”

In the post on X, a Swedish man is also singled out as a high-ranking member of Hamas’ leadership structure abroad.

Säpo does not want to comment the data but refers questions to Israeli authorities.

– We cannot go into specific events, matters or threats to places. On a general level, we have a close collaboration with a number of countries’ security and intelligence services, but we do not talk about what that work looks like, says press spokesperson Fredrik Hultgren-Friberg.

He says that the security situation is serious and that the threat of attacks is considered high in Sweden.

– Within the framework of our mission, we work against organizations that have been classified as terrorists in Sweden or by international bodies. Hamas is one such and we know that there are individuals who sympathize and work in their interests in Sweden. It can be about financing, spreading propaganda or other things that benefit the business.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes to DN that one does not comment on “security aspects concerning individual missions, and that it is the police authority that is primarily responsible for the security of foreign missions.

Israel’s ambassador to Sweden, Ziv Nevo Kulman, declines to comment on the data and refers to the Israeli government’s statement.

– We have nothing further to say at this stage, he tells DN.

In December did Danish police crack down on several locations in Denmark. Six people were suspected of being involved in the planning of a terrorist act in Denmark. Last Friday, the prosecutor confirmed that the people had connections to the terror-labeled Hamas. Three people are deprived of their liberty, while the other three are detained in their absence. One of the suspects is a Swedish man.

Also elsewhere in Europe, several people with Hamas connections were arrested in December, suspected of having planned acts of terror against European cities.
