Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The head of the State of Law coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received in his office this evening the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and his accompanying delegation.
Al-Maliki’s office stated in a statement received by Al-Masala, that during the meeting, developments in the political and security situation in the country were discussed, and the course of the political process, the challenges that the region is going through, and Iraq’s positions on them were reviewed.
The head of the State of Law coalition stressed the necessity of resolving the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil related to the issue of the security situation, and sending the financial rights to the region, saying: We are partners in achieving stability and security throughout the country, adding that resolving the differences between the federal government and the region is a duty for all of us, and the continuation of problems is unavoidable.
