Cairo: China demands cease-fire in Gaza and independent Palestinian state. This was requested by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a press conference held in Cairo with Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shoukry on the 100th day of the occupation of Gaza.

He said the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital is essential. The two said in a joint statement that as the massacre of civilians in Gaza has entered its 100th day, there should be an immediate ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that even if the International Court of Justice rules for a cease-fire in Gaza, the war will continue until the goal is achieved. In a televised address to the nation on the 100th day of the Gaza offensive, Netanyahu said that not only the international court or the axis of devils, but also the world cannot stop them.
