American actor Schwarzenegger detained at airport for failure to declare luxury watch
BERLIN, Jan. 17, 2024 – American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator) was arrested at Munich airport when he had not declared his luxury watch “Audemars Piguet”.
The German newspaper Bild, which reported the information, referred to the representative of the General Customs Office of the German city Thomas Meister.
“We are conducting an investigation targeting Arnold Schwarzenegger suspected of tax evasion. He should have declared the watch,” noted the latter.
The actor was in possession of a luxury Swiss watch from the Audemars Piguet brand, made especially for him, while going to the World Climate Summit conference in Kitzbühel.
According to the media, he intends to sell this object at auction for around 20,000 euros.
