New airline: Scholarships for future cabin crew

DIG/ With a view to the establishment of the new airline, the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) and the National Stock Exchange Agency of Gabon (ANBG), signed, on Tuesday January 9, 2024, a partnership agreement for the implementation of a program called “ ANAC scholarships ».

This convention in fact reflects the will, on the one hand, to train young Gabonese people in air transport professions, by encouraging vocations to ensure succession in this sector, and on the other hand, to cooperate closely in the field of education, training and professional integration.

The implementation of this partnership will allow ANAC and ANBG to provide training a staff made up entirely of Gabonese people, at the same time providing the aeronautical industry with a pool of qualified labor.

It will also lead the two entities to carry out a campaign to present aviation professions in the coming months.

At the end of the campaign, a call for applications will be opened for the benefit of Gabonese learners of all series with a view to constituting the first cohort of applicants which will be called ”OLIGUI NGUEMA Promotion”.

Note that the different training courses selected will be provided both in professional training centers in Gabon and in specialized higher education establishments abroad.

Furthermore, the two entities proposed that before the start of their training, a ten-year commitment is signed by the candidates, obliging them to work for their country for a certain number of years for the investment made.
