The visit was an opportunity for fruitful exchanges between the Head of State of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye and the President of the Gabonese Transition, General Brice Oligui Nguema, as part of the strengthening of bilateral relations, which have been very good since 1975.
The President of the Republic of Burundi had the opportunity to visit the Nkok Special Investment Zone extending over an area of more than 1000 hectares and which is subdivided into three parts: a commercial zone, an industrial zone and a residential area.
He also visited certain companies including “La Santé Pharmaceutique” specialized in the production of generic medicines as well as “Tropical Forests” specialized in wood processing.
Three cooperation agreements on trade and labor exchange were signed in front of these two great personalities. This will strengthen trade between the two countries.
The Burundian Head of State finally met the Burundian diaspora in Gabon in Libreville and called on them to carry out major projects in Gabon, as in Burundi.
