The athlete from Mato Grosso do Sul will participate in assessments at the Paralympic Training Center this week

Paralympic athlete from Mato Grosso do Sul Yeltsin Jacques is in São Paulo (SP) at the Paralympic Training Center for a week of physical assessments. World champion and champion at the Parapan American Games in Santiago, Chile, in 2023, he is already guaranteed at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

The evaluations carried out by the CPB (Brazilian Paralympic Committee) will continue until Wednesday. The work will be used to measure the athletes’ performance before training in Bogotá, Colombia, where the athletes will prepare at altitudes above 2,000 meters, from January 25th to February 18th.

Three athletes were selected for the tests, in addition to Yeltsin, who is the current Paralympic champion in the T11 class, for the visually impaired. São Paulo native Júlio Agripino (T11); Antônia Keyla (T20, intellectual disability) from Piauí and Edneusa Dorta (T12, visual disability) from Bahia. Five guide athletes accompany the activities.

On social media, very excited, Yeltsin left a message. “Good morning, guys, great day, great week, blessed week. Are you gone? Let’s go!”
