Israel has proposed a two-month truce in the conflict in Gaza, on the condition that Hamas release the hostages still detained in the Strip, according to the Israeli media Walla on Monday.

The proposal, sent by the Government of Benjamin Netanyahu to Egypt and Qatar, suggests a temporary cessation of hostilities in the region for approximately two months, in exchange for the release of captives.
