When European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was in Stockholm last Friday, it was to discuss competitiveness, forests and the green transition with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo. But she also met selected representatives of the Swedish and Finnish forest industry during a visit to Stora Enso’s innovation center in Nacka. Photo: Kristian Septimius Krogh
One of the five representatives was from Finland: Paula Lehtomäki, CEO of the Finnish industry organization Skogsindustrin. Lehtomäki, with a background as secretary general of the Nordic Council of Ministers as well as centre-party environment minister and state secretary, says it was a positive conversation.
– The conversation had a positive, constructive and enabling tone, she tells the Altinget.
