Comedy fans can rejoice: Season 5 of “LOL: Last One Laughing” is starting soon on Amazon and now all the candidates are known. Let the fun come!
In the comedy show “LOL: Last One Laughing”, anyone who can’t stop themselves from laughing will be thrown out. Most recently, in season 4, you were able to watch on Prime Video how ten comedians and stars try to unnerve each other with their gags without falling into the laughter trap themselves. Showmaster Michael “Bully” Herbig can watch the fun and sound the buzzer as soon as he sees the corners of the mouth twitch. Given the great success of the previous seasons, it is hardly surprising that a sequel has already been confirmed. The new episodes await us at Easter 2024. “Bully” is already presenting us with the 10 candidates.
It was rumored for a long time, now they are there 10 Candidate for “LOL: Last One Laughing” Season 5. Like Michael “Bully” Herbig in one funny video announced, the following (comedy) stars are part of the cast for the new episodes:
- Otto Waalkes
- Hazel Brugger (is there for the third time)
- Elyas M’Barek
- Mirja Boes
- Ralf Schmitz
- Ina Muller
- Michael Kessler
- Torsten Sträter (won in season 1 and shared his prize money with Teddy Teclebrhan)
- Olaf Schubert (was already there in season 3)
- Captain Meltem
Other comedy stars will certainly be there in the form of short guest appearances and show interludes, as we have already seen in previous years. Michael Herbig’s friend Martin should also delight us again next season with his particularly infectious laugh. Additionally, some celebrities outside of the comedy industry could also appear through the “Buddy” joker introduced in Season 4. Either way, we’re sure to have a lot of fun again!
“LOL: Last One Laughing” Season 5: When do the new episodes start on Amazon?
Good news for comedy fans: “LOL: Last One Laughing” Season 5 is officially confirmed. The first season of “LOL: Last One Laughing” won the German Television Award, the German Comedy Award and the German Entertainment Award. The second season was also well received by the audience and season 3 broke records as the most streamed title on Prime Video in Germany and Austria. According to a press release from Prime Video, season 4 of “LOL” is streaming the most streamed German title in Germany and Austria.
Prime Video immediately took this news as an opportunity and announced it together with Michael “Bully” Herbig in April 2023 via Instagramthat there will be another season. The announcement also revealed a start time window: Season 5 should Easter 2024 on Amazon start. Seasons 3 and 4 of “Last One Laughing” premiered on the Thursday before Easter. Accordingly, the start of season 5 could take place on March 28, 2024.

If you have already seen the Christmas special, you can stream the first four seasons of “LOL: Last One Laughing” again on Prime Video until season 5 starts. In France, a very special spin-off of “LOL: Last One Laughing” is currently being worked on. Maybe the horror version will also come to Germany?
