/ Tahrir Square, in central Baghdad, and many other areas of the Iraqi capital witnessed large celebrations for sports fans as the national team won over its Vietnamese counterpart and topped its group in the Asian Cup.

Agency’s camera documented the celebrations of the fans who lived the moments of the match and the “dramatic” Iraqi victory over the Vietnamese team, and their interaction with each goal, especially with the last goal of Ayman Hussein in the final moments of the match.

The fans raised Iraqi flags and launched extensive celebrations during which they chanted sports slogans and chants praising the national team and calling for repeating the achievement of 2007 and winning the Asian title.

The Iraqi team topped the fourth group with 9 points, followed by Japan with six points, then Indonesia in third place with three points, and Vietnam in fourth place without obtaining any point.
