The European Handball Championship has reached the semi-finals. The draw against Austria on Saturday hurt the German handball players, but there was a win against Hungary on Monday and the DHB selection lost against Croatia on Wednesday.

The final round will take place in Cologne. All games of the German team are broadcast on free TV by ARD or ZDF. In addition, some other matches without German participation can also be seen in the streams of the ARD and ZDF media libraries.

The DHB selection last won the title at the European Men’s Handball Championship in 2016. Now the team around national coach Alfred Gislason wants to write a winter fairy tale in their own country. Two victories in the preliminary round had fueled the enthusiasm for handball in the country. However, the national team also revealed some weaknesses in the main round, especially in the game against Austria, in which the draw was hard fought.
