Norwegian Pre-Eurovision Melodi Grand Prix Semi-Final Results: Three Finalists Announced for Eurovision 2024

The third and last semi-final in the Norwegian pre-Eurovision, the Melodi Grand Prix, has come to an end and now the three finalists can be announced: Kino (KEiiNO), who is the (MIIA) וAnne-Princess (AnnPrincess). The three artists beat three other contestants and reserved their place in the Norwegian final for Eurovision 2024 to be held on February 3, where they will face six other songs. The results were determined by the viewers only.

    In the grand final to be held on February 3, nine songs that emerged from the semi-final stages will compete. The final results will be determined by the audience (60%) and a team of judges (40%). During all the pre-Eurovision stages, the contestants were given the opportunity to use the autotune effect (an effect to correct minor fakes).

    Alessandra Mele, who won the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest, represented Norway with her song “Queen of Kings” (Hebrew: “Queen of Kings”). Norway advanced to the final after finishing in sixth place in the first semi-final with 102 points, and in the grand final it reached fifth place with 268 points – Norway’s best achievement since Eurovision 2013.

    Eurovision 2024: This will be Norway’s 62nd participation in Eurovision. Norway joined the competition in 1960 and won it three times over the years. Norway’s last win was in Eurovision 2009 with the song “Fairytale” performed by the singer Alexander Rybak.
