Hero’s new range of EV vehicles

Hero has unveiled its Surge S32 EV. It is a 2-in-1 vehicle. That is, it can convert from a three-wheeler rickshaw to an electric scooter.
Herein lies the purpose of the Surge S32 EV vehicle. That is, the Surge S32 EV vehicle is designed to be operated as an electric rickshaw for commercial purposes. And you can convert it into a high-performance electric scooter for commuting in congested urban traffic.
Surge S32 EV: Rickshaw vs Scooter
This Surge S32 EV auto rickshaw has a cabin, windscreen, lighting and optional soft doors to protect from rain and sun. These completely change the scooter itself. Equipped with LED headlights, indicators and digital instrumentation, the Surge S32 EV scooter connects to the 3W’s powertrain and battery through a manual electrical interface.
Its power output is 13.4bhp. A rickshaw can carry a substantial load of up to 500 kg. This vehicle is suitable for a variety of commercial applications ranging from those who buy vegetables and other commodities from markets to retail shops to street vendors.
Apart from this the two-wheeler offers a top speed of 4bhp. The Surge S32 EV vehicle’s rickshaw is powered by an 11 kWh battery and the scooter is powered by a 3.5 kWh battery. A three-wheeler rickshaw travels at a speed of 50 kmph. It is reported that the scooter can go a bit faster at 60 kmph.
