The police are tight-lipped about the operation, but confirm that they are on site with several units and that it is a large operation.

– We receive a call from Bärbyhemmet shortly before 1 p.m. It is not a violent crime and no one has been injured. We are still working on the case and gathering information, says Roland Komaromi, police spokesperson.

Is there any danger to the public?

– No, absolutely not, says Roland Komaromi.

The police are searching with several patrols for the freed man, but also for the people who were in the car at the time of the freeing.

Previous efforts at Bärbyhemmet

In October last year, another release from Bärbyhemmet was carried out. The police were then alerted that a car had left the home with one of the inmates.

The persons were later arrested by police in Stockholm.
