/ The International Court of Justice said on Friday that it is “unable” to issue a final ruling on accusing Israel of committing genocide crimes against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, and that the case may take years, while it confirmed that it will impose emergency measures in the genocide case.

The International Court of Justice said during a session followed by Agency, that it recognizes the right of civilians in Gaza to be protected from acts of genocide, and Israel must take measures to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

It stated that “all parties in Gaza are obligated to respect international law,” and the resolution imposed on Israel “international legal obligations.”

The resolution called on Israel to “prevent and punish direct incitement to genocide.”

She stressed, “We are unable to issue a final ruling now, and the case may take years,” noting that she “will impose emergency measures in the genocide case against Israel.”

For its part, the Palestinian Authority expressed its satisfaction with the decision issued by the International Court of Justice.

South Africa described it as an “important milestone” in the search for justice for the Palestinian people, calling on Hamas to release its hostages.
