by time news

The American aerospace agency NASA published a report from which it follows that the International Space Station is planned to continue operating until 2030, and in January 2031 it will be deorbited, after which the ISS will be flooded in the Pacific Ocean.

As specified, the flooding will be preceded by a series of maneuvers, the purpose of which will be to lower the ISS as low as possible and ensure safe entry into the atmosphere.

The ISS is a manned orbital station used as a multi-purpose space research facility. It has been in operation since November 20, 1998.
