Three years ago, in an interview with Drew Barrymore, she said she was “done with dating.” Now, however, Sharon Stone has changed her mind. The femme fatale, who with the cult scene of the crossed legs in Basic Instinct, in 1992, set the dreams of thousands of fans all over the world on fire, is today 65 years old. And her would-be suitors may actually have a chance with her. “I’m on Tinder with my real identity,” the star revealed in an interview with The Times. And on the dating app she is looking for love. “I’m not on Tinder just to fuck someone! So easy. And you don’t have to go to Tinder for this. You just need to have a coffee at the bar or go shopping at the supermarket to find someone to have sex with. Not difficult. Instead I’m looking for love. And I feel that this is the right year, 100%, specified the actress and producer, who is about to turn 66 and has always said she is proud of getting older, defining those who are ashamed of it as “stupid and ungrateful”.
In the interview, Stone talks about his experiences with the dating app. He already tried it once, with the Bumble app, which blocked her account, thinking it was a fake. The second attempt went better, but among the appointments that went wrong, she mentions two in particular: one turned out to be an ex-convict. Another, however, a heroin addict, “who had done it 20 thousand times, and also showed me the photos. I met him some time ago in the garden of a hotel in Bel Air and I was horrified when she arrived. So I ask the waiter for a glass of water, he asks for an absinthe cocktail. Until I tell him: “Sorry, I can’t do it, bye”. And I’m leaving,” she told the Times. With two other people, however, known during the lockdown period, a relationship was established in which she collected their confidences. But love hasn’t arrived.
Stone, who is now a producer and also an established painter, was married to Phil Bronsteim, whom she divorced, and to the writer Michael Greenburg. She has three adopted children, Roan (whom she lost custody of following Basic Instinct), Quinn, and Laird.
