Brighton beat Sheffield 5-2 in the fourth round of the FA Cup and advanced to the next stage of the oldest competition in the world. Pervis Estupiñán started on the left wing and completed his second game in this competition.

The Seagulls are making a kind of habit of scoring goals in this competition. In the previous stage they defeated Stoke 4-2 and, this time, the goal quota increased.
This Saturday’s win was not easy. Brighton had some scares because at the end of the first half the score was 2-2 after starting 2-0 up. Buonanotte opened the scoring with a great goal after a mid-range shot, and then came Joao Pedro’s penalty goal to make it 2-0, but in the final minutes of the initial stage the actions were even.
In the second half, when there were better collective plays and better time management, Las Gaviotas consolidated their victory. Two goals from Joao Pedro and a goal from Welbeck in the final minutes gave the final figures.
“The FA Cup is a tournament that we want to win,” declared Roberto De Zerbi before the match and with this qualification to the round of 16, he is moving steadily forward.
The FA Cup has also allowed us to consolidate the return of Pervis Estupiñán, after his injuries that kept him away from the fields in the last quarter of last year.
