RTL wants to get “Das Supertalent” back on track. Dieter Bohlen, who recently no longer sat behind the jury’s desk, should help. Bruce Darnell also returns for the new season. They are supported by Ekaterina Leonova and Anna Ermakova.
The starting signal was given on January 27th on RTL – and immediately there was a lot of excitement. The Australian Beatrice McQueef causes amusement but also outrage with her performance.

“Oh my God,” can be heard several times from Bruce Darnell, who turns away and claps his hands over his head. Ekaterina Leonova also has to catch herself first. Dieter Bohlen, on the other hand, watches the events with amusement.
In fact, the jury is split. Anna Ermakova would send Beatrice one round further, and Bruce also gets a go. “I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m open to everything (…) I’ll give you a yes!” explains the 66-year-old.
The candidate receives two yes and two no votes, so that the audience decides whether she advances. The spectators in the hall are clearly against them. Beatrice takes the setback calmly; she has been performing this number in various European countries for ten years.
Opposite RTL Dieter Bohlen explains afterwards: “We’ve had acts like this before, so much earlier. Half of the people ran out. You had to catch them again. This time the people were completely relaxed.”

Unsurprisingly, Beatrice McQueef is also the big topic of conversation on social media that evening. Many people are of the opinion that the show definitely goes too far and is not good for the format. A user writes on Instagram:
“It’s absolutely tasteless of you to show it at all! It was shown after 10 p.m., but so many people still sit in front of the TV with their children and watch it. You look forward to the ‘super talent’ and then something like that.”
Another user joins in and says: “This is really borderline and tasteless… unbelievable.” And this viewer is also stunned: “What time do we actually live in that something like this is shown on TV, on a family show? Just to increase viewership. What’s next? Something like that is totally inappropriate.”
RTL, on the other hand, takes it with humor. The video description on the show’s official Instagram channel reads: “‘All my ducklings’ messed up forever!”
“Das Supertalent” is partially repositioning itself when it returns to RTL. On the one hand, Dieter Bohlen and Bruce Darnell are returning to the jury, while Ekaterina Leonova and Anna Ermakova are taking part for the first time. The first episode airs on January 27th at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. Then it will be seen whether the ratings for the format will finally rise again.
