If you’ve been waiting for PlayStation and Nintendo to respond to Xbox’s recent Developer_Direct, we have some good news for you, as a new rumor has started circulating that State of Play could happen as early as this week.
Coming from “Shpeshal_Nick”, who does have a good track record of reporting rumors and inside information, the rumors themselves came in the form of X posts and even hints at games that might appear on the show.
As you can see, rumors indicate that the show will take place on January 31st, and that Rise of the Ronin, Death Stranding 2, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Silent Hill 2 Remake, the PS5 version of Until Dawn, a new Metro games, Judas, and even what appears to be a Sonic Generations remaster.
Many of these games are coming soon or have been rumored (Rise of the Ronin, FFVII: Rebirth, Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn on PS5) and may appear, and others are undoubtedly more surprising. As for whether this rumor is true, we’ll find out soon enough, because if Sony is going to host a show this week, it will have to make an announcement today or tomorrow.
