The value of military equipment sold by the United States to foreign countries has reached a new peak in 2023.

In February 2022, Russia invaded its neighbor Ukraine. Ukraine is actively fighting against this with the help of America and Western countries. The United States continues to supply Ukraine with large amounts of military supplies and equipment.

By 2023, U.S. arms sales abroad are expected to reach an all-time high of $238 billion.

This includes $81 billion in direct sales by the US government, in addition to sales by US-based private military logistics firms including Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman.

Poland tops the list ($29.75 billion).

Germany ($8.5 billion), Bulgaria ($1.5 billion), Norway ($1 billion), Czech Republic ($5.6 billion) followed.

Besides European countries, South Korea ($5 billion), Australia ($6.3 billion), and Japan ($1 billion) are the countries that help the US trade in favorable arms sales.

Regarding this, the US government said, “Military security trade and arms sales are an important aspect of US foreign policy that can have a long-term impact on regional and global security.”

It seems that the main reason for this is that many countries of the world who stopped buying from Russia, which ranks next to the United States in arms sales, have started buying from the United States.

Countries that want to buy military equipment and weapons from the US government can directly negotiate with US private military equipment sales companies or meet US military officials at the US embassy in their country and buy them.

But it is important to note that both methods require prior approval from the US government.
