A real drama unfolded in the ‘Psagat Ze’ev’ neighborhood in Jerusalem during the past few months, with the fear of the closure of the Kemanitz Tel Aviv. Following the large increase in Torah families in the neighborhood, a few months ago the rabbis and businessmen of the neighborhood appealed to the head of Yeshiva Aterat Shlomo the Gershov Sorotkin with a request to open a Tel A was added in the neighborhood due to the large increase in the families of the evangelists. At the opening meeting that took place about two months ago, Geriz Weber and Gerizim Zilberman and close to a hundred of the evangelists of the community participated.

However, Bechadari Haredim learned that when registration opened, it became clear that there was a real fear of the closure of the existing Talmud Torah, the Kamenich Talmud under the management of Rabbi Gideon Luria, when many of the students’ parents enrolled their sons in the Ater Shlomo Talmud, and the atmosphere heated up in the neighborhood to the point of A real controversy.

As a result, the rabbis of the neighborhood today address a rare letter to the Rosh Yeshiva of Atar Shlomo, expressing their fear of closing an existing Torah place and the controversy that has erupted, and asking the Gershab not to open the Talat this year.

However, the head of Yeshiva Aterat Shlomo stipulated with the rabbis of the neighborhood, the Gratz Veber and Geri Zilberman, that they would comply with their request on the condition that all the registrants would be settled and no family would be harmed.

With the consent of the rabbis of the neighborhood, Gershov Sorotkin announced that this year the Haydar would not be opened.
