On 23.7.2016, a woman was found murdered and her body mutilated in Senchi Malaikotta area of ​​Villupuram district. Rajendran, a memorial assistant at Senchikottai, lodged a complaint at the Senchi police station. Accordingly, the police registered a case and conducted an investigation.

On investigation, it was revealed that the murdered woman was a 27-year-old woman from Kottakuppam area. The woman and Harikrishnan’s son Viji (34) from Kalathumedu area of ​​Puducherry Jayaganesh Nagar have been in love with each other. It was also revealed that Viji took the girl to Senchi Malaikotta area on the promise of marriage and raped her and killed her by hitting her on the head with a big black stone. Subsequently, the police arrested Viji and put him in jail.

The trial in this regard was going on in Villupuram Women’s Court. The verdict was pronounced today after the prosecution witnesses in the case were over. Judge Hermes, who heard the case, sentenced the accused VG to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs.15 thousand. Subsequently, Viji was lodged in Cuddalore Central Jail.
